Apple have released the latest update for iOS in version 8.1.2 and would be available for users globally. The change log on this update show that this update targeted specifically on the itunes store issue, where purchased ringtone went missing from owner devices. Apple also made a dedicated website for the restore of purchase ringtones at . There is no list of "bugs fix" released for this update and that show that this update is mainly for the itunes ringtone missing issue.

The last update, update 8.1.1 does help in older hardware's performance after the initial ios 8 almost crippled those devices. This update seems to be a more targeted and minor update while there are still multiple published issue raised by owners from all over the world.
