Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge Android 5.1.1 update started

Seems like the best things can still be better, Samsung's latest flagship have been making news everywhere even after months of its release either on the record breaking benchmark or the lightning quick UFS storage. Samsung just kept the news flowing with the latest 5.1.1 android update is now available thru OTA starting from T-Mobile in the US. Expect other carriers and region would follow suit in the coming days.

Samsung may not be the first to release the latest 5.1.1 update to their users but this update bring a lot of additional feature that both native and also exclusive feature to Touchwiz. The changes are well documented earlier by SamMobile with their hands on with a pre release 5.1.1 update on a Galaxy S6. You can watch the video after the break

The firmware (G925TUVU2COF6) is huge at 635MB that includes a simplified exposure control system in the camera, a wallpaper parallax effect, and numerous changes in the user interface (like the option to remove the S Finder and Quick Connect buttons from the notifications shade.) Performance has received a boost as well. Like all software updates, this one is available over the air and through Samsung Kies.

There things that are missing in this update from the earlier speculation, ability to shoot photo in RAW and camera manual exposure control.
